Awesome Educator’s Site of the Week!

There are so many cool resources out there I don’t even know which one to share first! I absolutely love The Teachers Corner. This site is just full of useful activities and helpful tools that make a busy teacher’s life a bit easier. As a home educator I also really appreciate the tools at my disposal here. You’ll find printable worksheets–along with some that you can customize, lesson plans, cool seasonable activities, creative bulletin board ideas, and my favorite — the puzzle makers such as, word finds, crosswords, word puzzlers, fill in the blank worksheets, matching worksheets, brain teasers, and maze makers! I also love the printable calendar section that gives one so many options of how you would like the calendar to appear and the events that you want to include! The Thematic Units presented are valid and there are a variety of ages to choose from. The daily writing prompts are helpful but in my opinion should not be used with young primary students. Another useful activity to check out here is the Collaboration Projects page. According to The Teacher’s Corner: “The Online Collaboration Projects offered by The Teacher’s Corner are learning activities that provide collaboration between two or more classrooms.  The participating classrooms are in various locations around the world and use the Internet to interact with one another.” The Teacher’s Corner has become a weekly hangout for me and gives me great resources that are helpful and that kids really enjoy! Oh, I almost forgot the best part—it’s free! So go on and check it out and let me know what you think! If you don’t love it and use it I’ll be surprised!
